If you decide to bake muffins, cakes, muffins, puffs, biscuits or custard cakes and decorate them, apply icing sugar. This is perhaps the easiest and fastest to prepare confectionery product for covering sweet pastries.

By itself, sugar glaze is not used, but all sorts of rum women and other sweets only benefit from a brittle and tasty crust.

Ingredients:

Powdered sugar - 10 tbsp. l.

Lemon juice - 1 tbsp l.

Raspberry jam - 1 tbsp l.

Food coloring - 0.25 tsp l.

To make your recipe for icing, use the ingredients you need. In addition to powdered sugar, in fact, the rest of the ingredients are auxiliary: dyes, acid and liquids that set off the sweetness.

Sugar won't give you the consistency you want, but you can grind it to a powder - the finer the better.

Before combining the ingredients, sift the icing sugar through a fine sieve. Thus, we remove possible contamination, and in the future we will rather dissolve the lumps.

Sugar glaze is often left without coloring, white. Then it is necessary to pour liquid into the powder: drinking water and / or lemon juice - for my taste, with sour citrus juice the mixture is more expressive, with a pleasant and refreshing sourness.

For example, we leave some of the sifted powder in the original color, that is, white. Mix another portion of it with dry food coloring (liquid, gel are also suitable). Add raspberry jam to the third part - one of the most optimal options when the additive contains: natural dye, the necessary liquid, aroma and sourness of berries. If jam or preserves have fragments of berries / grains, first push through a sieve - you need to get a homogeneous composition.

Next, pour water and / or lemon / lime juice into dry blanks (white and yellow), drop by drop, stirring until a thick consistency. Raspberry jam with powdered sugar combines without problems and immediately gives a bright color, viscous texture - no additional liquid is needed here.

We cover the flour products with colored and white sugar icing immediately, decorate as desired. Then we dry it at room temperature.
