French-style meat is one of the most popular among holiday dishes, and all because it is easy to prepare, from simple available products. It is hearty and aromatic, looks impressive and appetizing.
Today I will share with you a recipe for baked meat in French with mushrooms and potatoes. This complete hot dish requires no additional side dish.
For chops, use a pork neck, loin, or tenderloin. To keep the meat soft and juicy when baking, cut it into a thickness of 1.5-2 cm.
If you are against the use of mayonnaise, you can completely eliminate it by replacing it with sour cream.

Ingredients:
Meat - 600 grams
Tomatoes - 6 pieces
Salt - 1 tsp
Freshly ground pepper mixture - to taste
Champignons - 300 grams
Medium potatoes - 3 pieces
Hard cheese - 100 grams
Bulb onions - 1 pc.
Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
Sour cream - 3 tablespoons
Greens to taste
Garlic - 1 clove
Mayonnaise - 50 grams
Course of action:
Prepare the required foods.
Wash and dry the meat. If you are confused by the amount of fat, you can cut it.
Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Boil potatoes until half cooked and cool.
Cut the meat into portions. Put on the board. Cover the top with plastic wrap and beat off.
Place a tea towel underneath to prevent the board from sliding over the countertop. The film will protect the work surface from splashing.
Cut the mushrooms and onions into random pieces.
Salt the meat, sprinkle with spices, put on a baking sheet.
Cut the tomatoes into slices. It is advisable to remove from them the liquid core with seeds.
Fry the mushrooms and onions in vegetable oil until excess moisture evaporates. Season with salt and pepper to taste and stir.
Apply a net of mayonnaise or sour cream on the prepared meat. Top with fried mushrooms with onions and tomato slices.
Peel the boiled and chilled potatoes until half cooked and grate with strips.
For the sauce, mix sour cream with chopped garlic, chopped herbs, salt and a mixture of freshly ground peppers. You can take equal parts sour cream with mayonnaise.
Mix the sour cream sauce with the grated potatoes and half the cheese. Spread the mixture over the meat, on top of the mushroom filling.
Bake in an oven preheated to 180-190 degrees for 20 minutes. Then remove the baking sheet, sprinkle the remaining cheese on the dish and bake for another 5 minutes, until it melts.
Serve the meat in French hot, sprinkle with chopped herbs.
The aroma from the dish spreads throughout the house, gathering everyone at a common table. An additional invitation will definitely not be required
