As an addition to the first course or just to tea, today we bake delicious and airy pies in the oven with a very appetizing filling. The kefir dough is very successful according to this recipe, it has some advantages - it does not take long to cook, and a minimum of ingredients is needed to knead, and it is very tasty in baking. As soon as you put it on the rise, immediately start preparing the filling. Because the dough rises very quickly, and the cabbage with minced chicken for our pies must still have time to cool down.

Ingredients:

Dough:

Kefir - 2/3 cup

Dry yeast - 1 tsp

Water - 70 ml.

Sugar - 1 tsp

Vegetable oil -1/3 cup

Wheat flour - 2-2.5 st.

Salt - a pinch

Filling:

Fresh cabbage - 250 g

Minced chicken - 350 g

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Vegetable oil - 50 ml.

Seasoning for chicken - 1 tsp

Salt - 1 tsp

Additionally:

Sesame seeds - 1 tsp

Egg yolk - 1 pc.

To bake kefir pies in the oven, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Of this number of products, 16 pieces come out.

We knead the dough. Please note: we prepare it according to this recipe, but we take less products by weight.

Instead of minced chicken, you can take fillet, just chop it very finely.

Peel the onions, rinse and finely chop. We also finely chop the cabbage.

Heat the oil over medium heat. Fry the onion until golden brown, stir occasionally to brown evenly.

Next, put the minced chicken, chicken seasoning or any other favorite spices in the pan, as well as salt. Mix well, continue to fry until the meat turns white.

Add cabbage, mix.

Fry, covered with a lid, for another 8-10 minutes. Then we transfer the filling to a plate and let it cool until warm.

Knead the finished dough well. Divide into 2 parts. We divide each of them into 8 identical pieces.

Turn on the oven 180 degrees. Roll out the dough, sprinkling flour on the countertop. For each pie we take 1.5-2 tbsp. l. fillings. We sculpt pies of the usual shape or triangles.

We spread the semi-finished products with the tucks down on a baking sheet covered with parchment. If I shape the pies in the usual shape, then all 16 pieces fit on one baking sheet, I put them in 2 rows.

Lubricate them with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

We bake the pies until golden brown. This takes 20-25 minutes - be guided by your oven.

Serve baked pies with cabbage and chicken cooled slightly.
