3 non-standard and delicious breakfasts for the lazy in 10 minutes (no annoying oatmeal and fried eggs)

It's morning, and we have a choice - to soak up a cozy bed for a few more minutes or to lift ourselves by the collar of pajamas and go to cook breakfast for the family?! Difficult choice, isn't it? Especially if you are not a "morning" person and getting up early is difficult.

Quick breakfast recipes will come to the rescue. 10 minutes of active cooking - and the whole family will enjoy breakfast.

What do we have for breakfast today? Today I will test three dishes at once, each of which can be prepared in 10 minutes.

  1. Pita with scrambled eggs, ham and green onions (2 servings, 201 kcal / 100 g).
  2. Toast with banana and coconut (2 servings, 403 kcal / 100 g).
  3. Parfait with fried muesli and yogurt (2 servings, 247 kcal / 100 g).

I prepared the ingredients for three test dishes at once. Let us examine each of them in detail.

Pita with scrambled eggs, ham and green onions

Ingredients:

Pita - 1 pc.

Chicken egg - 2 pcs.

Ham (slices) - 2 pcs.

Grated cheese - 2 tablespoons

Green onion (feather) - 1 pc.

Salt to taste

Paprika (ground) - to taste

Black pepper (ground) - to taste

Step by step recipe:

1. This is a "ssoboyka" dish - you can eat it slowly at home, or you can wrap it in foil or put it in a lunch box and take it with you to work. To make it, I used homemade pita, baked from a mixture of wheat and whole grain spelled flour. Since it turned out to be large, one piece is quite enough for two servings. If your pitas are small, then feel free to take 1 piece per serving.

2. Break the eggs, add salt and spices and beat with a fork. When using salt, it's important to remember that cheese will add saltiness to the dish.

Finely chop the ham and green onions. Rub the cheese on a fine grater.

Cut the pita in half.

3. Melt the butter in a small non-stick dish over medium heat and pour out the eggs. Scrambled eggs are probably the fastest way to cook eggs. It is necessary to cook it, stirring constantly with a spatula. Gradually, the eggs will turn into a lumpy mass. We cook like this for 2-3 minutes.

4. As soon as there are no fragments of raw egg left in the scramble, add the ham and onions. Stir and cook for 1 minute until the onion and ham aroma appears.

5. Remove the scramble from the heat and add the grated cheese. We mix everything.

6. Fill the halves of the pita with scramble and serve immediately.

Toast with banana and coconut

Ingredients:

Toast bread (slices) - 2 pcs.

Peanut paste - 2 tablespoons

Banana - 1 pc.

Salt (coarse) - to taste

Coconut flakes - 1 tablespoon

Honey (liquid) - to taste

Step by step recipe:

1. Toast with banana and coconut flakes will surely appeal to children. Everything in it is delicious and it cooks very quickly.

Any peanut butter will work: creamy, with peanut pieces, chocolate, etc. For a more sophisticated taste, you can use a different nut butter.

2. Dry the slices of bread in a dry preheated pan or toaster. Transfer the slices to a board and let cool slightly, until then cut the banana into slices. Then spread the peanut butter on the bread.

3. Place the banana slices on top and mash them lightly with a fork.

4. Sprinkle the toast with coconut flakes and a little coarse salt on top.

5. And finally, some honey.

Parfait with fried muesli and yogurt

Ingredients:

Oatmeal flakes - 1 glass

Pumpkin seeds - ¼ cup

Nuts - ¼ cup

Flax seeds - 1 tbsp

Salt - a pinch

Natural yogurt (fat content 2.5%) - 125 g

Fruit / Berries - To Taste

Honey - to taste

Step by step recipe:

This dish can be called "girly", because it is so colorful, and still very popular among those who follow their figure.

Yes, you can make muesli "from scratch" and at the same time keep within 10 minutes.

Fruits or berries can be absolutely any and quantity to taste. Cut them randomly.

Choose nuts and seeds to taste. The nuts can be chopped coarsely with a knife.

7. Heat a dry skillet over medium heat and pour the oatmeal into it. Cook, stirring constantly, for 3-4 minutes. During this time, the flakes will turn golden and a pleasant aroma will appear. The main thing is not to let them brown too much, otherwise they will taste bitter.

8. Add nuts, seeds and a pinch of salt to the oatmeal.

9. Mix and cook for another 1 minute. Then pour the muesli from the pan into a bowl to stop the cooking process and speed up their cooling.

10. For the parfait, lay muesli, yogurt, fruit and honey in layers in a jar or glass. We repeat the layers.

Muesli turned out to be much more than 2 servings, but they are perfectly stored in a closed jar at room temperature.

11. Considering that muesli is without sweet dried fruits, you can use sweet yogurt in the parfait or add a little more honey.

Dishes are tested. Each of them takes no more than 10 minutes to cook, and they help to diversify the morning menu. And if you make your own change in each recipe, then you get even more variations for future delicious breakfasts.
