Having moved to a residence abroad, many sooner or later come to the idea of creating their own business. Remembering my throws 20 years ago, I help such people to the best of my ability to unwind.
Five years ago, our daughter's friend Karina and her husband Joseph, both with diplomas of tax inspectors, arrived in Zaragoza, where we settled. They washed their hectare of floors, overloaded their five tons of boxes, and worked with the dispatchers with hassle.
But Kara, having changed seven (!) Jobs in three years, somehow became very sad.
My Anna to her and advise: “Go to my mother, she has ideas - like a bug of fleas! She will tell you something! " Remembering what cakes the girl baked at school age, I began to think in this direction. And even preventively phoned Alea's girlfriend, Alvarez, that is, the owner of a large cafe. So Zhenya got to her for an internship. Everything would be fine, but Alya is very domineering, she rejected most of the new ideas...
In short, Karina has matured: "Aunt-Rose, do you think I should open my own business?" Who would doubt that: She makes baked goods like God, she has mastered seven varieties of coffee and a lot of teas, she is neat, she will not spend a penny in vain...
We drew a business plan, got interest-free loans from a couple of funds, found a luxurious place - not far from the university. There are refrigerators, the oven bakes perfectly, the coffee machine fills, tea is not a problem at all.
But - what is the Volga without a button accordion? We need to come up with a name. And Karina announced a competition. Each participant receives a large cup of coffee and a piece of cake for inspiration, so there will be no losers, and the winner will be given a subscription for free coffee and cake for a month.
Losing weight is difficult in Spain. Well, it's just sooooo difficult. Walk along the shopping street - and you will certainly buy something, eat something, save up calories.
So there are more cakes - there are fewer cakes, it is no longer so important, and we came to the competition with the whole family: Anna, her husband, my husband and I and our youngest son. We decided: we play - every man for himself.
They say that sweets and coffee make people think better. It looks like I ate too much: about a dozen options were drawn: "Corner of taste", "Gaudeamus", "Like mom's"... But everything is not right.
And then Karinkin's husband, Joseph (already renamed by his friends in Jose), who was busy with warehouse logistics of goods for a shoe company, burst into the cafe with a delay. I demanded a piece of paper, a pencil, coffee, a pie for myself too. And he began to intensively throw something on paper.
Eh! Seems like I'm getting bypassed at the finish line? And I was almost sure that I would be able to win. Where are you in a hurry, Pepito? Where are you going, Jose?
An extra dose of adrenaline rushed to my brains. I have already SEEN with my inner vision a luxurious sign with lights, traditional costumes, flowers in my hair...
Karina... Karina? But no, I will have it Carmen! I sketch out a sketch of the sign on a piece of paper and write in large letters: "JOSE AND CARMEN." Of course, the Frenchman invented the heroes, but who of the Spaniards does not know this story?
And the background music can be painted on like this. And cover the tables with black and red tablecloths with sequins or, say, purple and gold! Whoever has a red tablecloth has black napkins, and vice versa... All these ideas are stated right under the title. It was just time to turn in the envelopes. On mine, I clearly deduced the competition name: H&K.
Well, what a long time to paint? The Jose and Carmen cafeteria has been operating for three years now, and it is always full of people. I did not take into account one more point: the events described by Merime, it turns out, took place in Zaragoza!
And I walked to Karmenka's cafeteria and back: one and a half kilometers in one direction, one and a half in the other. And I didn't gain calories, and I ate delicious baskets with cherries, raspberries, apples. True, not a month, but ten days, let the girl earn!
