Fried potatoes with minced meat

If you have a little minced meat left and you can't decide which dish to cook from it, then just fry the potatoes with it in a pan - this is the perfect lunch or dinner. The dish will turn out to be hearty, tasty, with an appetizing toasted crust. It takes about 20-25 minutes to cook, provided all the necessary ingredients are available.

Minced meat can be used as beef or pork, or a mixture of both. When frying, add onions - they will accentuate the taste of meat and potatoes. Choose spices and herbs according to your taste, such as dried thyme, rosemary, oregano, etc.

Potatoes with minced meat will be especially tasty with pickled or pickled cucumbers / tomatoes, and other savory preserves. You can serve the dish along with a salad made from fresh vegetables or grilled, with various sauces: ketchup, mayonnaise or sour cream of any fat content.

Ingredients:

Potatoes - 5 pcs.

Minced meat - 300 g

Onions - 1 pc.

Vegetable oil - 40 ml

Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

1. Peel potato tubers, cut out blackheads in them and rinse thoroughly in water. Cut each potato in half, and chop the halves into not too thin slices. Send the slices into a deep container. If desired, potatoes can be cut into small cubes, circles, etc.

2. Season with salt and pepper, mix gently. Thanks to the salt, the potatoes will release liquid and cook faster.

3. Heat vegetable oil (odorless, refined) in a skillet with high sides, or melt pork lard if you decide to use such a product. Lay out the slices and stir immediately so that they are covered with fat and do not stick together during frying. Cook the dish on medium heat for about 10 minutes to prevent burning the edges of the potato slices, stir occasionally.

4. Peel a small onion, rinse in water and cut into half rings. Add to the potatoes along with the minced meat, dividing them into pieces. Stir gently until the minced meat and onion are on the bottom and cover the pan with the steaming lid. Thus, the fried potatoes will be steamed from the inside, and the onions and minced meat will be fried until tender. Simmer for about 3-5 minutes.

5. 2 minutes before cooking, remove the lid and lightly brown the contents of the pan.

Put the prepared dish on plates and serve hot, not forgetting about vegetables, sauces, etc.
