A fashionable topic all over the world today is the reduction of the amount of products to be emitted, which is also associated with concern for the budget and the environment. The main thing is that the number of food poisoning does not increase. But there are several ways to help you save some of the food completely safely.

Why is everyone preoccupied with food processing?

According to the UN, about 30% of all manufactured products are regularly thrown away, which is more than a billion tons. Imagine how much money and products it is?

Young entrepreneurs from Zurich decided to save the day and earn extra money from it. They buy non-standard fruits and vegetables that have not spoiled yet, and prepare various dishes and smoothies from this. For example, they take deformed carrots, for example, too large or small, which they do not put on the counter, and make pancakes based on root vegetables.

They also make a very tasty cold yoghurt soup, to which they add a little liqueur for taste. And its basis is cherry, which could not be sold in the store.

Foodsharing activists from Moscow also save food from the dump (literal translation - share food).

Volunteers pick up products from restaurants and shops that have lost their presentation, but are still suitable for consumption and share with those in need. Its organizer, Andrey Kukhnin, claims that overproduction in Russia is up to 60%, that is, in practice, this is an extra product. According to him, today the consumer has become very demanding and, conventionally, will not buy a little stale bread, although it is quite possible to eat it.

Moreover, food deteriorates not only in stores, but also in refrigerators. Blogger under the nickname Mom Olya is sure that food cannot be thrown away, she can prolong her life. The main thing is not to harm your health, and here there are some nuances.

Bananas

The problem with bananas is that they darken. And if the blackness reached the pulp, this indicates the beginning of a dangerous defeat of the fruit. To determine this, it is enough to smell it - the smell will be unpleasant, which indicates the development of microorganisms in the composition.

But according to MamaOlya, the affected parts of the fruit can be cut off, and the rest can be used to make cupcakes. Heat treatment can kill them. And the cake itself should be cooked in sour milk - the dough in this case will be more tender.

Milk

By the way, using sour milk for desserts and baked goods is a tradition for many families.

But some doctors think it's dangerous. The fact is that in such a product there may be mold fungi, which, if ingested, can lead to poisoning. And heat treatment does not kill all of them. Therefore, if the milk is sour in the refrigerator, it is best to throw it away.

Another thing is if you specifically insisted it with sourdough, for example, added kefir and left it for 12 hours. You can make a delicious soup with milk and dill from it: you need to mix sour milk with water, bring to a boil, add eggs with sour cream and put on the stove. When the mixture boils, remove from the stove, add some vinegar, pour into plates and add crackers.

But sour cottage cheese can be used without fear - the main thing is that there is no unpleasant smell or bitterness. It will make an excellent tasty cake.

Egg, flour, cheese, baking powder and butter are added to the curd. All this must be mixed and kneaded with a fork. The filling of sour cream, cheese and garlic is prepared separately. It remains to form a cake, add the filling and bake.

Cheese

Mold often grows on cheese, even if stored in the refrigerator. Moreover, as doctors warn, even if you cut off the affected part, part of the mycelium will still remain.

Therefore, the use of blue cheese is strictly prohibited.

But if the product has dried up a little, it can be saved. To do this, you need milk: take a bowl, cheese, fill it with milk and leave for an hour. After the specified time, the product will become soft again. And it is best used for sandwiches.

Bread

You can also not throw away dried bread: dip it in an egg and fry it, and you can put anything on top: avocado, cheese, greens, red fish.

If the bread is too dry, you can make croutons or use as bread crumbs for frying chicken fillets.

Greens

Already withered greens can be frozen in oil. Then it is enough to put a piece of ice in the hole made in the meat - it will melt when frying and make the meat more aromatic and softer. Another option is to preserve herbs in vinegar. It is enough to rinse the parsley or dill, chop, pour 6 or 9% vinegar and leave in a dark place for 2 weeks. This oil is ideal for salads.

However, not all greens can be used.

If yellow parsley is found, this indicates the possibility of the appearance of toxic elements. Therefore, it is dangerous to use it.

The main thing is not to overdo it with "resuscitation": if you find mold or rot, it is better to throw them away, you will be healthier.
