Yeast cakes in a pan are very tasty and satisfying. They turn out to be lush, soft and ruddy.

Everyone in my family loves such cakes. We cook them very often. Sometimes I serve them instead of bread with first courses. But most often we eat them with honey, jam and milk. They are delicious both hot and chilled.

The recipe is very simple, the products are available. I recommend giving it a try.

Ingredients:

Kefir - 500 ml.

Sugar - 2 tablespoons

Salt - 2 tsp (no slide)

Dry yeast - 10 g

Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons (+ for frying)

Egg - 1 pc.

Wheat flour - 1 kg.

Step by step recipe:

1. Prepare the required set of ingredients. Warm up kefir to a warm state, its temperature should not exceed 38 degrees, otherwise the yeast will simply "die". Sift the flour several times through a fine sieve.

2. Pour kefir into a deep bowl, add sugar and stir. Then add yeast and leave for 10 minutes to start.

3. After the lapse of time, a foam with bubbles should form on the surface of kefir. If this does not happen, then the yeast is old and you need to start the procedure again, otherwise the dough will not fit and will acquire an unpleasant sour taste and smell.

4. Then beat in an egg, add salt and vegetable oil. Stir the mixture with a fork or whisk until the egg is completely dispersed in the liquid.

5. Add sifted flour in parts.

6. Each new portion of flour must be thoroughly stirred with a whisk. When the dough is thick enough, transfer it to the table and continue kneading with your hands. You may need a little less flour or more, it will depend on its quality.

7. The finished yeast dough should be soft, elastic and not sticky to your hands. Put it in a bowl greased with vegetable oil, cover with a towel and leave for 1 hour. The place for the approach of the dough should be chosen warm and without draft.

8. When the dough rises well, knead it and you can continue working.

9. Divide it into seven equal parts. It turned out to be bubbly, soft and very pliable.

10. Roll each part into a flat cake 1.5-2 cm thick. Use a fork to make several punctures on the surface so that they do not swell up during frying.

11. Heat the frying pan with vegetable oil well and lay out the first piece.

12. Fry all the cakes on both sides until golden brown, 3-4 minutes on each side. The fire should be slightly below average, otherwise the baked goods will come out soggy on the inside. Put the finished cakes on a paper towel to remove excess vegetable oil.

13. Delicious cakes with yeast and kefir are ready.

Bon Appetit!
