Hello everyone! I am sharing a simple recipe for a delicious meat pie with cabbage. Such a ruddy, fragrant cake can be safely served on the festive table.

Ingredients: For dough:, Flour, Dry yeast, Milk (warm), Egg-, Sugar, Salt, For filling:, Minced meat, Cabbage, Vegetable oil, Carrots, Onions

Cooking method:

Cooking yeast dough. Pour dry yeast into warm milk, you can replace it with live one. Add a teaspoon of sugar, a little flour, mix everything thoroughly. We put it in a warm place after 5-8 minutes a yeast cap forms above the milk surface. Then sift the remaining flour into this mixture, add salt and an egg. In a bowl, knead the dough with our hands. We put it on the table and knead further.

Then we return the dough to the bowl, cover with cling film and put in a warm place for about one hour. This time will be enough for the dough to increase in volume. While the dough is rising, let's start filling the pie.

Fry minced meat in vegetable oil. Add chopped white cabbage, carrots, onions. Season with salt, pepper and simmer over low heat until tender. Cool the finished filling.

We take the dough and divide it into two parts. 1 part should be larger. We roll out most of it onto a rectangular layer. Lubricate the baking sheet and transfer the layer to it, lay out the filling. Roll out the second layer and cover the filling with it, then pinch the edges of the dough. Grease the cake with egg yolk.

We send the cake to the oven preheated to 180 °. We bake for 35-40 minutes. We take out the finished cake, "wash" it with cold water, cover it with a towel, let it stand for 10-15 minutes, so that the top crust is soft. We cut a beautiful, ruddy cake into portions and serve. Bon Appetit everyone!
