It is rare for a family to have dinner without a first course. Most often, borsch is cooked in many families, but other soups are also very popular. Today we cook one of the easiest soups to prepare with the minimum amount of ingredients, but incredibly tasty and satisfying. In addition, all children adore it, so if you do not know how to feed your fussy, start with this.

Ingredients:

Minced meat - 400 g

Large potatoes - 3 pcs.

Large carrots - 1 pc.

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Rice - 3 tbsp.

Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.

Parsley - 5 branches

Salt to taste

Ch.m. pepper - taste

Bay leaf - optional

Preparation:

1. To make the meatball and rice soup, you will need all of the foods on the list. Peel the onion, peel the carrots and potatoes. Wash vegetables and parsley under running water and dry. Rice also needs to be rinsed several times with cold water until it becomes clear.

2. Cut the onions into small cubes, grate the carrots on a coarse grater. In a saucepan with a thick bottom, heat odorless refined vegetable oil, put chopped vegetables in it, fry for 3-4 minutes over medium heat.

3. Pour in one and a half liters of water, let it boil. Once this happens, add the finely diced potatoes. Cook it with carrots and onions for 10 minutes.

4. Put the minced meat in a deep bowl, add salt and pepper to taste, mix thoroughly until smooth. If you will cook such a soup for children, take better minced chicken instead of mixed.

5. Moisten your palms with water, roll the meatballs of the same size, slightly larger than a walnut.

6. Then pour the washed rice into the soup.

7. When the broth boils again, put the meatballs into it, cook the dish for 15 minutes over low heat. In time, rice and meat balls are cooked in the same way, plus potatoes will have time to cook. Add water to the top of the pot, carefully remove all foam, add bay leaf if desired for flavor.

8. After a while, salt and pepper the finished soup, add chopped fresh parsley to it, immediately turn off the stove. Cover the pot with a lid and let the dish sit for 15 minutes before serving.

Everything, delicious soup with meatballs and rice can be served for lunch. It is permissible to put a gravy boat with sour cream next to the plate.
