Course of action:

1. Prepare food.

2. Pre-sift flour and pour into a bowl. Use a spoon to form a funnel in the center. Beat in an egg, pour in water, vegetable oil, add salt and vinegar. With a spoon, start stirring the liquid component, gradually adding flour to it from the edges of the funnel.

3. Knead the dough until it absorbs flour. It may take more or less.

4. After all the ingredients have been mixed, put the dough on the work surface and continue to knead on it.

5. Add flour as needed. The dough should feel firm and elastic. It is often compared to an earlobe.

6. Form a smooth ball and place in a container. Cover with a tea towel and rest for 30 minutes.

This dumpling dough is universal. It can be used not only for making dumplings. It is perfect for making manti and khinkali.

When using eggs, some housewives complain about the rapid drying of the edges of the dumplings. If not used, the dough is brittle and tears easily. In this recipe, table vinegar addresses these issues. The elastic dough rolls out thinly, does not dry or break.
