Homemade compotes are an incomparable healthy pleasure. Moreover, they are not only very tasty, but also so low in calories that they can be drunk in pots without harming health and shape. And imagine, if you cook them every day for children, they will absolutely completely forget about cola and other fizzy drinks. At least I succeeded and you try it! After all, dried apples are now sold in any grocery store.

Ingredients:

Dried apples - 150 g

Sugar - 3 tablespoons

Cinnamon stick - 1-2 pcs.

Water - 2 liters

How to cook:

1. To prepare dried apple compote, prepare the foods according to the list. If dried fruits are purchased, then choose not overdried, the slices should be soft, elastic and of a pleasant appearance. Too dry and brittle apple pieces at least last year or were not properly dried.

2. Put dried apples in a colander, rinse thoroughly under running water. It is necessary to wash each apple slice from dust, sand and dirt. Believe me, the water will be a very unpleasant color.

3. Transfer the apples to a saucepan or stewpan, fill with clean drinking water, put on the stove to boil. After boiling, cook for 10 minutes.

4. Add sugar after a while. To be honest, navigate to your liking. Since our family does not complain too much about sweets, we add very little sugar. Then add one or two cinnamon sticks. If suddenly there is a handful of raisins in the house, then it can significantly improve the taste of the drink, so feel free to add it. Cook the compote for another 5 minutes, it doesn't take longer - we will try to preserve all the nutrients.

5. Remove the container from the stove, cover with a lid and let the drink brew until it cools completely.

6. Ready-made apple compote can be filtered before serving, but for me it is ideal with apple slices. Pour into cups / glasses and serve.

Very tasty and healthy. No cola or other fizzy drinks can be compared, I assure you, even my son said about it!
