Not a single festive table for the New Year is complete without colorful and inviting snacks. I bring to your attention one of these - New Year's sandwiches with red fish. Moreover, the fish is salted or pickled several days in advance, so that at the right time you always have the necessary ingredient on hand, or they are purchased ready-made. The species can be anything: salmon, pink salmon, chum salmon, salmon, etc. The main thing is that the fish is juicy, appetizing and fresh!
Use lemon to accentuate the flavor of the main ingredient, and rye bread for the base, ideally a baguette. All products can be purchased at any supermarket, even sliced red fish. Do not forget to set off the appetizer with fresh herbs: lettuce, dill, parsley.
Ingredients:
Red fish - 200 g
Lemon - 0.5 pcs.
Rye baguette - 0.5 pcs.
Fresh dill to taste
Leaf salad - 2 pcs.
Salt and pepper to taste
How to cook:
Prepare the food you need.
First cut the rye baguette diagonally in the middle to get nice slices. Then cut into slices at least 1 cm wide, otherwise the bread will crumble and tear.
Rinse the lettuce leaves and pat dry, then place on a plate or dish. If you are preparing a large number of sandwiches, then increase the amount of ingredients.
Place the sliced baguette over the lettuce leaves. If you like bruschetta, first dry the slices in the oven or in a skillet and let cool.
Cut the red fish into slices: thin or thick - at your discretion. Place them on a bread base.
If desired, between them, you can create a layer of melted or soft cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, butter.
Cut the lemon into thin slices, and then cut each of them in half. Place one citrus between the fish slices on each sandwich.
If a citrus or lemon allergy is not available, replace it with fresh cucumber by cutting it into slices or ribbons.
Decorate your meal with fresh herbs. Season with salt and pepper to taste, remembering that the fish is already salty.
Serve New Year's red fish sandwiches to the table. You can make them in advance, about 30-40 minutes in advance, and store them in the refrigerator, but not earlier, so as not to become weathered.
