The microwave oven is an incredibly useful invention of humanity. Here you will have instant sandwiches, and minute cupcakes in a mug, and porridge in a matter of minutes. But the best thing, in my opinion, that this technique can still give is very fast cooking of vegetables. Did you know that beets, which need to be cooked for 40 minutes or longer until tender, can be cooked in the microwave in just 5-7 minutes. Don't believe me? Now I will prove it to you!

Ingredients:

Beets - 2 pcs.

For quick cooking of beets in the microwave, take small root vegetables in a bag, 150 grams, maximum 200 pieces, then they will cook easier and faster.

Wash the beets thoroughly with a hard kitchen sponge under running water, dry slightly.

Now take a sleeve for baking in the oven (by the way, you can use an ordinary dense food bag), tie it tightly on one side with a simple sewing thread. Put the beets in it, tie it tightly with a thread on the back.

Someone advises to make several punctures in the sleeve with a knife so that steam comes out during baking, but I do not see the point in this.

Place the root vegetables in a bag on a microwave safe saucer, set the maximum power and set the timer to 6 minutes.

Very often, in ordinary microwave ovens, the maximum power is 850 W, but if you are lucky, and you are the owner of a super equipment for 1700-2500 W, then it will take less than 5 minutes, I think.

During cooking, the sleeve, like in the oven, will swell like a balloon, in this vacuum the beets will cook.

After a while, carefully cut the bag, only carefully, because you can burn yourself with hot steam. Pierce one of the root vegetables with a wooden or bamboo skewer, if it comes in very easily - the beets are ready.
