Pasta with bacon and cream is an Italian dish that has won the hearts of millions of people around the world. It is impossible not to fall in love with this incredibly tasty, satisfying and high-calorie dish. At first glance, the products from which the sauce is prepared may seem strange and incongruous, but in fact, everything is just perfectly balanced in taste.

Ingredients:

Pasta - 200 g

Dry-cured bacon - 100 g

Garlic - 1 clove

Parmesan - 40 g

Ground black pepper - 0.5 tsp

Sea salt - optional

Cream 20% - 200 ml

Chicken egg - 1 pc.

Olive oil - 0.5 tsp

How to cook:

Step 1 of 11

We will prepare all the necessary products for making pasta. Remove the egg, parmesan and cream from the refrigerator in advance so that they are at room temperature.

First of all, put the paste to boil in slightly salted water. Follow the instructions on the package.

Preheat a skillet over high heat, add the raw-cured bacon, cut into strips or cubes, and a clove of garlic crushed with the back of a knife. Fry until lightly crispy in bacon.

Tilt the pan slightly, drain off excess fat, remove garlic. Set some of the fried bacon aside for serving.

In parallel, we will prepare a creamy sauce. Beat the homemade chicken egg in a deep bowl.

Step 5 of 11
Step 5 of 11

Pour in heavy cream, beat with a whisk until smooth.

Add grated parmesan to the sauce, beat the creamy mixture well again. Parmesan can also be left a little to serve.

Step 7 of 11
Step 7 of 11

Add ground black pepper last. There should be a lot of it, so we do not regret it and add a generous pinch.

Step 8 of 11
Step 8 of 11

By this time, our pasta should have been cooked, drain the water.

Step 9 of 11
Step 9 of 11

Put it in the bacon skillet immediately.

Step 10 of 11
Step 10 of 11

Pour the creamy sauce into the pasta and heat over medium heat. It will begin to thicken almost immediately, as the parmesan will melt over the fire and thicken the cream.

In general, this pasta is not salted, since the bacon and parmesan are quite salty, but if you cannot do without salt, then add a pinch to taste.

Step 11 of 11
Step 11 of 11

Serve the finished meal immediately after cooking. Sprinkle the leftover Parmesan cheese and the bacon bits we set aside on top of the pasta and drizzle with a drop of good quality Extra virgin olive oil.

When serving, you can add a couple of fresh basil leaves, if available in the house.

Enjoy!
