Do you want to cook a delicious, hearty and healthy lunch? Use this recipe. Bulgur chicken soup is a great dish for a family meal. In addition, soups cooked in chicken broth have healing properties, which is very important in the cold season. And bulgur is valued for its useful qualities; this cereal is very rich in vitamins and minerals. The soup is very simple to cook, but, as with every recipe, there are some nuances, which I will tell you about. So let's get started.

Ingredients:

Potatoes - 4 pcs.

Carrots - 1 pc.

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Chicken (any of its parts) - 300 g.

Bulgur - 40 g.

Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons

Bay leaf - 1 pc.

Salt to taste

Ground black pepper - to taste

Dill - 3 branches

Water - 2 liters.

Step by step recipe:

1. Prepare the required set of ingredients.

2. Wash the chicken well. Place it in a suitable sized saucepan and cover with cold water. Put on fire and bring to a boil. When the water starts to boil, foam will appear on the surface - remove it with a spoon or slotted spoon. Then lower the heat and continue to cook the broth until the meat is done. Cooking time will depend on the age of the bird. Finished meat should be soft and easily pierced with a knife or fork.

3. While the soup base is cooking, peel the vegetables. Cut the onion into small cubes, medium potatoes, and grate the carrots.

4. Fry the onions with carrots in vegetable oil until golden brown over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.

5. Strain the finished broth and add potatoes to it.

6. Boil for 5 minutes and add bulgur to the soup. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 7 minutes over low heat.

7. When the potatoes and cereals are cooked, add the fried vegetables to the pan.

8. After five minutes, add bay leaf and chopped dill to the soup. Boil for 2 minutes and remove from heat. Instead of dill, you can use any greens you like.

9. Nutritious soup with bulgur and chicken is ready.

Pour into portions and serve hot. You can complement the taste of this dish with vegetables, bread and fresh herbs.
