Nutritionists remind - breakfast should be at least 25% of the daily caloric intake for people of any age. But for children, it needs to be made very nutritious so that they start their day fruitfully and with a supply of energy. What is the healthiest breakfast?

The best breakfast regardless of age is porridge. Many valuable nutrients are found in oatmeal, barley and buckwheat. But semolina is not suitable for breakfast, since it contains practically no useful plant fibers.

It is better to choose whole grain cereals, because the more the grain is ground, the less useful a product based on it is. Such cereals will give a feeling of fullness up to 5 hours a day, and "custard" only for 1.5-2 hours.

Porridge is better absorbed by a child if it is made with milk rather than water. According to the recommendations given by the WHO, children should get at least 2 servings of dairy products a day, for example, a glass of milk and 30-40 g of low-fat cheese.

To enrich food with vitamins, add a small piece of butter to the porridge, because it contains both fatty acids and complete protein. And for this product to have a more pronounced taste, use cottage cheese or berries.

What to have for breakfast if you are tired of porridge?

It is better to alternate porridge with cottage cheese and egg breakfasts. For example, you can give cheese cakes, casseroles, lazy dumplings.

If the child does not have allergies, then up to three times a week, you can cook egg-based breakfasts: make an omelet, boil and serve with whole grain bread for maximum health.

In general, the main foods for a student's breakfast should be:

Why not give cereal for breakfast?
