Delicate baked apples soaked through with delicious aromas for those who choose the right diet, a simple cooking process and love sweets, but no dough. For all its unsightly appearance, this is a real, full-fledged dessert. And if you don't count the calories or prepare for a special occasion, you can easily beat it with crispy cereals / granola / waffles, honey, a scoop of ice cream, dried fruits and nuts, chocolate.
Ingredients:
Apples - 5 pcs.
Sugar - 50 g
Ground cinnamon - 5 g
Butter - 30 g
Mint, rosemary - 20 g
Step by step recipe:
Step 1 - Take the groceries on the list. I recommend the new harvest seasonal apples - strong, sweet and sour, juicy.
Step 2 - Wash the fruits with cold water. Slicing can be different, often cut off the top with a "tail" and remove the core to get space for the filling (from cottage cheese, dried fruit, nuts). Many are baked whole, with a stalk. But if you decide not to stuff it, I suggest dividing the fruits in half (remove the core) and leaving completely edible apples without waste. This method is convenient for serving children.
Step 3 - Cover the form with parchment greased with a thick layer of butter. Apple juice mixed with caramelized sugar can burn, and the oil not only gives an additional delicate flavor, but also prevents the peel from sticking / burning. We lay the fruit halves, cut up in one layer. It can be quite crowded.
Step 4 - Mix ground cinnamon with granulated sugar (so the spice is evenly distributed) and sprinkle each piece of apples with the resulting mixture. If desired, sugar is replaced with honey.
Step 5 - Scatter small pieces of high-quality oil over the indentations in the apples (the fruit pulp is soaked delicate creamy smell and will become especially appetizing), next to it are branches of mint, rosemary, which will strengthen and enrich aroma. On fast days, for such a dessert, we exclude butter or replace it with olive oil, another vegetable. We bake in a pre-heated oven for about 25 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees.
Step 6 - Serve the baked apples with cinnamon warm or completely cooled.
