Cauliflower casserole in the oven

Each hostess constantly replenishes her collection of quick recipes with new delicious dishes. I suggest one of these - a cauliflower gratin cooked in the oven, in other words, a casserole. Despite the simplicity of preparation and unattractiveness of the vegetable, it turns out an absolutely worthy dish. It beckons with an appetizing ruddy cheese crust, delicate creamy aroma and the same taste.

Ingredients:

Cauliflower - 700 g

Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.

Cream - 250 ml

Hard cheese - 200 g

Ground nutmeg - 0.33 tsp l.

Ground coriander - 0.33 tsp l.

Ground black pepper - 0.33 tsp l.

Salt to taste

Garlic - 1 arrow

Preparation:

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients necessary for cooking.

Step 2: Grind a third of any hard cheese (Dutch, Russian, etc.) with a medium-sized grater, and grate the remaining volume on a coarse grater.

Step 3: Beat chicken eggs with a whisk until smooth. Garlic arrow (can be replaced with a feather (1 pc.) Or two cloves) chop with a knife.

Step 4: Add cream, chopped cheese (which is on a medium grater) and garlic, ground black pepper, coriander, nutmeg to the beaten eggs. Whisk lightly and mix thoroughly. If necessary, taking into account the salinity of the cheese, add salt to the mixture to taste.

Step 5: Cauliflower can be used fresh or frozen after thawing. Disassemble the buds into smaller inflorescences. You shouldn't crush them too much. Arrange the vegetable in a baking dish evenly. It is very convenient to use portioned forms, you can immediately serve them in them without putting the dish on a plate. Even made of aluminum foil, they look pretty good.

Step 6: Distribute the creamy egg filling evenly over the entire surface of the cabbage.

Step 7: Sprinkle with the remaining coarsely chopped cheese.

Step 8: Bake in a preheated oven to 200 degrees for about 20-30 minutes, depending on the size of the mold and the characteristics of the oven. You should get a beautiful ruddy cheese crust.

Step 9: The cauliflower gratin is ready. It is better to serve hot, but it is not bad in the cooled version. Before serving, arrange with a sprig of herbs.

The dish is perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner, even a romantic one.

You do not need to boil fresh cabbage beforehand. When using a freshly frozen vegetable from a supermarket, it was noticed that water does not drain from the inflorescences during defrosting. Therefore, before putting them into molds, it is necessary to gently squeeze the buds out to remove unnecessary moisture.
