During the collection / sale of the new crop, we will replenish the bins with sweet pear compote for the winter. The recipe is familiar to many, it is incredibly simple and suitable for any fruit, including berries and all kinds of assorted varieties.

The lack of sterilization of cans in water also captivates. It is enough to have on hand a woolen blanket or other fabric that can keep warm for a long time. They rolled up the pear compote hermetically, wrapped it up and left it alone until morning. Agree, there is a minimum of hassle.

Ingredients:

Pears - 5 pcs.

Sugar - 125 g

Water - 2.3 L

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - To make a simple pear compote without sterilizing for the winter at home, take the foods on the list. If you want to flavor, add spices (anise, cardamom, cinnamon), if there is not enough acidity, add a little citric acid at the end of cooking. Let me remind you that the quality of the fruit and the sterility of the container (plus sealing, temperature of the content) are important for the safe storage of the drink. Examine the banks for integrity, with cracks and chips, reject immediately. After washing with baking soda, steam (sterilize) containers and lids in a water bath or in an oven. Calibrate the ripe pears without rot.

Step 2 - Cut clean fruits into large slices. In fact, cubes, thinner straws, halves and even whole pears are suitable (I advise without stumps). Skinned or unpeeled - as you wish. We dip the fruit slices into sterile jars. We lay out, focusing on the volume of the future compote. More pears, less sugar and less water - higher concentration.

Step 3 - Fill with boiling water, put on the lids (not airtight!), Steam for 10 minutes. In this way, we not only scald the pears, but also measure the required amount / volume of water for the compote.

Step 4 - Gently pour the hot liquid into a saucepan, leave the pears at the bottom of the cans. We sweeten the water. There can be more or a little less granulated sugar according to your taste. A drink that is too sweet is often diluted when consumed. Boil, dissolve sugar.

Step 5 - Pour back - screw tightly. Turn the lid down to make sure the joints are secure. Cool the seaming under the blanket, which replaces sterilization in water.

Step 6 - We transfer the jars of pear compote for the winter to a cool and darkened room.
