Chicken fillet very often comes out dry after cooking, but nuggets are a prime example of the fact that this meat can be made juicy and soft. The juiciness inside is preserved due to the dense breading, which consists of three layers.
The most popular are considered to be chicken nuggets created in the traditional way. You will need a minimal and fairly simple set of products. The main thing here is to follow a clear sequence of all steps of the recipe. The crispy golden crust of nuggets comes from crushed breadcrumbs, but you can use both cereal and cheese as breading.
Having prepared this dish at home, you can create strong competition for any fast food. The main thing is that there will definitely be confidence in the quality of the products used.
Ingredients:
Chicken fillet - 600 gr.
Eggs - 2 pcs.
Wheat flour - 40 gr.
Bread crumbs - 130 gr.
Vegetable oil - 400 ml.
Salt - 1 tsp
Ground paprika - 1 tsp
Ground pepper - to taste
Step by step recipe:
1. Prepare the food you need.
2. Rinse the chicken fillet under running water, remove moisture by blotting with a napkin. Be sure to cut off possible layers of fat, remove the thin film. Cut the meat into small flat pieces. Try to keep the slices as uniform as possible.
3. Prepare three separate containers for different types of breading. Drive eggs into one, chop them well with a fork, fill the second with wheat flour, and the third with breadcrumbs.
4. Sprinkle the flour with salt so that the nuggets do not turn out bland. You can also add some spices to it. Ground paprika, curry, or turmeric are perfect. First of all, immerse a piece of fillet in flour, roll on all sides.
5. Transfer the meat to a bowl of egg mixture, do the same. To prevent the breading from sticking to your fingers, load the pieces with different hands: into liquid - with one, into dry - with the opposite.
6. At the end, dip a piece of chicken in crackers, chicken off the excess breading. Breadcrumbs can be purchased or prepared in advance.
7. Do the same with all the chicken fillet pieces. When all the meat is breaded, place a saucepan with plenty of oil on the stove top. Choose a narrow, but high capacity, then less oil will be consumed.
8. After warming up as much as possible, dip the workpieces in small portions in the oil so that they cook evenly. The approximate cooking time is 2 minutes, but this may vary depending on the size of the pieces. Readiness can be determined by the golden brown crust.
9. Using a slotted spoon, place the chicken nuggets on a plate previously covered with a paper napkin - it will remove all excess oil.
10. Transfer the finished snack to a serving platter.
Serve homemade chicken nuggets with ketchup or another homemade sauce.
