I am absolutely sure that absolutely any salad served in this beautiful, sunny and incredibly hospitable country can be called Georgian. I want to show you a salad that can be ordered in any cafe with Georgian cuisine, although each of them will certainly have its own version. The prototype of this variation is the Glekhurad salad - all the ingredients are identical, only the cooking method is only slightly different. Try to cook and serve it with a kebab, you will really like it, I assure you.

Ingredients:
Tomatoes - 2 pcs.
Cucumbers - 2 pcs.
Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc.
Bulb onions - 1 pc.
Basil - a couple of twigs
Parsley (cilantro) - a couple of twigs
Walnuts - 100 g
White wine vinegar - 3 tablespoons
Hot pepper - to taste
Salt to taste
Ch.m. pepper - taste
How to cook:
Prepare foods from the list. Wash all fresh vegetables and herbs under running water, dry thoroughly with paper towels.
Most often, red onions are found in this recipe, but now is not the season and it is simply impossible to buy it, so it changes to a white sweet salad. In the same way, basil and parsley can be safely replaced with cilantro, if you like it more.
The first step is to prepare the salad dressing. Be sure to fry the walnuts in a skillet until a delicious nutty smell comes out. Cool it down, put it in a mortar, rub it into the gruel with a pestle.
Pour in white vinegar, stir the dressing.
Wash lettuce under running water to remove sand, discard in a colander, then pat dry with paper towels.
Next, you need to clean the tomatoes from the place of growth of the stalk, bell pepper - from the seeds. Next, you need to cut them and cucumbers into large pieces, so the salad looks prettier and does not let juice for a long time. Place the chopped vegetables on a green pillow.
Now we cut the sweet onion into rings and hot peppers as you like, sprinkle them on the top of the salad.
Put the previously prepared nut dressing on top and decorate the dish with basil or parsley (cilantro) leaves.
Serve a delicious, juicy and aromatic Georgian salad of vegetables and walnuts in portions. You can also serve it on a large platter.
