I'm glad that my friend told me to cook carrots like that many years ago. It always helps me out when there is little time or when I just want a salad, but there you need boiled carrots. But you don't want to wait long until the carrots are cooked in the classical way.
This method is also very relevant before the New Year holidays. At this time, as always, there is not enough time for anything, everything is running - running... By the way, you can cook this way not only carrots, but beets or potatoes.

I take 4 carrots, mine is good. I cut off the stalk and a piece from the other side.
I take medium carrots. It is better not to use a very large one, it will take longer to cook.
But, if you only have large carrots, then just cut them lengthwise.
By the way, carrots can be peeled immediately. But I usually do not do this, I clean after boiling.
I take a tight bag, put it on a plate. I usually take a bag that is suitable for freezing food. As a rule, such packages are very dense and this is what you need.
I put the carrots in a bag in one layer.
I fill it with 100 milliliters of cold water. That's enough for 4 carrots.
I'm not tying the bag tightly.
I'm sending the carrots to the microwave. I cook at 800 watts for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, I open the microwave and take it out.
I untie the bag (it will inflate when heated, but then fall off).
Checking the carrots with a knife for readiness. If it seems to you that the carrots are not completely ready, then put them in the microwave for another minute. But 5 minutes is enough for me.
It all depends on the type of carrot and on the microwave itself.
Then I peel the carrots and use them in salad. Here is such a beautiful carrot.
This method is just a wand - a lifesaver when there is no time at all.
