I am very glad that I found this recipe for making cabbage. This is quite a complete dinner! This will be especially true for those who observe Fasting. Well, or you can use this dish as a side dish for something meaty. This cabbage was liked by everyone who tried it with me. We can say that these are lazy cabbage rolls, only without meat.
How I cook delicious cabbage:
I do not chop the cabbage finely. I take half a rocker and cut it lengthwise, then across. You get cabbage squares. I love this way of cutting cabbage: very fast and beautiful.
Finely chop the onion.
I cut the carrots into rings. It is possible on a coarse grater, but I like it more. Looks more interesting in the finished dish.
I cook onions with carrots in a frying pan preheated with vegetable oil for about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Add the cabbage and continue cooking over medium heat for another 8 minutes.
It's time to add some spices: ground coriander, black pepper, 2 cloves, 2 allspice peas and salt.
I also add tomato sauce. I have a home. You can take tomato paste, but then you need to dilute it with water 1: 1.
I also add rice! I wash it several times beforehand with water until transparent. How I love the combination of cabbage and rice.
I fill it with water, mix everything. I close the skillet with a lid and simmer until the rice is cooked for about 20 minutes.
The cabbage dish is ready! I also recommend sprinkling such cabbage with chopped garlic and herbs. Bon Appetit!
