I love different fruits, sometimes I buy something unusual and this time my husband brought home a white grapefruit. I had never seen such before, my husband bought a white grapefruit, ordinary, and we decided to compare them in taste and appearance.
By the way, the price of this unusual fruit for me was very favorable. It was even cheaper than a classic grapefruit.
White grapefruit was priced at 78, 06 rubles per kilogram for a share, and the usual one cost 90, 13 rubles per kilogram.
By weight, such a fruit weighed 456 grams. Pretty decent.
In the cut, the fruit looks like this. For clarity, I also cut a regular grapefruit.
The pulp is yellowish. Why was it called white grapefruit, as for me, it should have been called yellow. And outwardly, the rind is yellow.
The taste of this unusual grapefruit was not as sweet as the classic one. But, I was pleasantly surprised by the almost complete absence of bitterness! It practically does not exist and it is very pleasant.
The fibers are more delicate than ordinary fibers. And this white grapefruit was also juicier. But it doesn’t taste as bright as the classic one.
If you closed my eyes and gave me a taste of white grapefruit, I would not have guessed that I eat grapefruit. This is some other fruit. Of course, it is similar to the classic, but the taste is different.
My husband liked the white one more, said that it is not bitter and it is more pleasant to eat.
By the way, there was one bone in the white grapefruit, but a big one. In the classic fruit, however, there are many very small seeds.
Conclusion: we liked the white grapefruit, and with the occasion and a good price, I will buy it. I advise you to try this unusual, interesting grapefruit variety.
