Greetings to all readers of my channel! My name is Christina and I am very glad to see you on my culinary channel.
I learned here one very interesting way of slicing onions into thin, identical strips without a knife and special shredding devices, as well as without a cutting board!
My friend is Armenian by nationality, and I saw this method of cutting at her place when I was visiting. I liked it so much that I decided to share it with you.
And now a second of humor: ๐
Odessa, Privoz. A man with a piece of paper walks along the rows. - Man, you forgot to buy a bow! - But my bow is not written down. - So go, I'll add you!
The anecdote is taken from the site anekdoty.ru
I cut the onion into a salad in this way, I like it. I love it when the onion is sliced โโvery thinly.
Of course, you can cut it with a knife, but it still won't work out so evenly, and even when I need only 1/4 of it onions (just add ready-made to the potatoes or to the meat), I don't want to get the cutting board dirty and then wash. This is the cutting method I use.
Let's get started!
In my refrigerator, I always have a peeled half of an onion (also a carrot), which I specially leave from the previous cooking. I know that often I need a little onion for meat, salad or some other dish.
I take a regular vegetable peeler (I think everyone has one).
I start from the edge to chop the onion directly onto a piece of meat, thereby not staining the cutting board.
Just a few seconds and you're done! Here's a life hack!
You need to cut from the "head" to the root. I hope she explained it clearly. ๐
This will give you perfect, thin, uniform straw!
