With ordinary cottage cheese, it will not work so tasty.

I have long promised to share the recipe for my favorite dumplings. For this recipe, I use choux pastry (very convenient to use, it is easy to prepare, it does not creep even after freezing and it turns out delicious)

Sift flour into a bowl. add the egg, vegetable oil and salt. Stir with a fork to mix the egg with flour.

And pour in boiling water. Only the water boiled - straight into the dough. And stir quickly. First with a spoon (because it is very hot). Then hands.

You don't need to knead for a long time.

I put the dough in a bag for 15 minutes.

At the end of the article (in the video), I showed another dough recipe, which is also suitable for these dumplings. Take a look - you will like it.

For the filling, I take Adyghe cheese. I knead it with a fork and add salt to taste, melted butter and egg yolk. I stir.

If you like sweet filling, just add 2-3 tsp. Sahara.

I make dumplings.

I never cut circles out of dough with a glass! I just form a "sausage" from the dough, cut it into pieces and roll it out with a rolling pin.

And now there are two options - you can cook dumplings in salted water in the usual way. Yes, just in a saucepan. It will be delicious.

But I have not boiled dumplings lately, but steamed them. Of course, this is easiest to do in a steam oven. I spread the dumplings on an oiled net and put them in the steam oven for 10 minutes.

Dumplings with Adyghe cheese

If there is no such oven, use ANY steamer. The multicooker has a steaming mesh.

If you don't have a double boiler, it doesn't matter either! You can use the way my grandmother used to. She poured water into the pan, and pulled cheesecloth on top of the pan. Here comes the double boiler! Dumplings - on cheesecloth, lid on top - and you need to cook for 15 minutes.

Or, you can use a colander instead of cheesecloth by placing it in a saucepan of the correct diameter.

RECIPE:

Boiling water dough (choux pastry)
• Flour - 3 glasses
• Boiling water - 1 glass (not full!)
• Egg - 1 pc.
• Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.
• Salt - 0.5 tsp.
*** My glass is 250 ml
Filling
• Adyghe cheese - 350 g
• Butter (melted) - 3-4 tsp.
• Egg yolk - 1 pc.
• Salt - a pinch
*** You can add some sugar

Serve ready-made dumplings with sour cream and butter.
