How to quickly cut a biscuit into cakes of the same thickness: a knife is not useful here

I've always had a problem cutting a biscuit into cakes before. They always came in different thicknesses. And sometimes it's even worse - on the one hand the cake is thick, on the other thin... And the cakes were crooked 😀. I had to somehow correct this "beauty" by pouring icing on the cake or covering the sides with cream. Here you can see how I cut "evenly"))

Then I bought a device for cutting the biscuit into cakes. Already, of course, a little better, but you cannot adjust the thickness of the cakes (it is standard). And the diameter of this ring does not fit any shape (sometimes it was necessary to cut the sides of the biscuit in order to "pull" this ring on it. And the biggest disadvantage is that this device takes up a lot of space in the closet. Not an option at all:

And this shape also needs to be rotated in order to cut along the entire diameter. And if suddenly the knife is not long enough, it turned out unevenly again. I do not recommend this device, in general. A completely unnecessary thing in the household))

Now I make it easier - I cut the biscuit into cakes using a regular thread. I'm sure I won't surprise anyone this way. But I myself sometimes forget about it and grab the knife)) If suddenly you haven't tried to cut a biscuit like that, I highly recommend it. As easy as pie!

Today I divide the biscuit into two cakes. Using a ruler, I insert a few toothpicks clearly in the middle of the biscuit.

Then I take a regular thread and loop it around the biscuit (the thread should be on the toothpicks. I cross the edges of the thread and, as it were, tie it.

The thread cuts into the biscuit and cuts it. I get two even cakes of the same thickness.

It remains to remove the toothpicks and thread. And that's all - you can collect the cake))

In the same way, you can cut a biscuit into several cakes. It's simple!
