I use this dough to make pies, cakes, and buns. I serve it with first courses, and as an appetizer, and for tea. Can be fried, baked, or steamed. Really a lifesaver!

The dough is prepared very simply and always turns out! You can use the mashed potatoes left over from dinner. But I usually cook potatoes on purpose. Moreover, I use potatoes for this dough, and the broth - for lean yeast. If interested, write in the comments, I will also share the recipe.

I boil the potatoes in salted water. Let it cool a little and knead it in mashed potatoes.

I add olive (or any other vegetable) oil and salt to taste.

Then a little flour and baking powder. I begin to knead the dough.

I gradually add more flour. I knead well. The dough turns out to be soft, very manageable and does not stick to your hands.

The dough can be stored in the refrigerator for one to two days or frozen. After defrosting, it is no worse!

What am I making from this test:

You can make scones or "cookies" as I call it. I roll out the dough thinly, cut it as necessary, put it on a baking sheet - and bake it in the oven at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes (depending on the oven). As soon as they turn red, I get it!

You can fry such cakes in a pan (I fry in olive oil). Here's what happens:

I cook any pies from this dough! With any savory filling. You can fry in a skillet with oil on it.
