Very often I have to remove the peel from tomatoes, because in many dishes, well, they are not needed at all (as, for example, in omelets and casseroles). I show you how to do it quickly.
Yes, many have been familiar with these methods for a long time (and I have already shown them many times in my videos). But very often I still see questions in the comments.
Therefore, I will share in two ways, how I do it.
The first way
My tomatoes and make cuts on top. Like this:
Pour boiling water over the tomatoes for 15-20 seconds. I pour it so that the water covers the tomatoes completely.
Then you can dip the tomatoes in ice water. But I don’t do this, I just peel off the skin immediately. It comes off very easily.
And that's it, you can cut the tomatoes and add them to the salad or to the omelet, or to the casserole...
I recently shared a recipe for a delicious omelet with zucchini and tomatoes in one of my videos:
Method two (for those who have a gas stove)
It is even simpler)) In the same way, I make cuts on top.
I chop the tomato on a fork and hold it over the gas burner for about 20 seconds. I constantly turn the tomato to warm it up from all sides.
And in the same way I remove the thin skin. It's even easier and faster than boiling water! At the dacha, that's exactly what I always do.
There is another way - to heat the tomato in the microwave. Write in the comments how do you peel tomatoes?
