The best way to lose weight for me was calorie counting. Rather, this is the only way that helped to achieve the result and maintain it. All diets gave only a temporary result, since they did not change food habits, did not lead to a change in lifestyle. After each diet, there is a return to the usual diet, on which excess weight is again gained.
In addition to counting calories, it is necessary to maintain a balance of proteins, fats and carbohydrates - this is primarily our health. BJU are those bricks that build a healthy body. If you remove one of the bricks, the whole system can be loosened.
I am a supporter of the BJU balance.
When I did not count calories and BJU, carbohydrates predominated in my diet, then fats and then a little bit of protein. I realized this when I roughly calculated my usual diet.
It is impossible to completely exclude one of the nutrients from the diet. But there should be no excess either.
β What does excess, for example, carbohydrates lead to:
- Fatigue. Fast carbs both came in quickly and went away quickly and did not provide the proper amount of energy for the whole day. Therefore, the diet should be dominated by slow (complex) carbohydrates, which provide saturation and energy for a long time, as well as proteins and fats.
- Hunger. It occurs if you have eaten a lot of carbohydrates and little protein and fat, which take longer to digest.
- Mood swings. Sugar, the companion of many fast carbohydrates that we love to pamper ourselves with,stimulates the production of substances that induce happiness and reduce anxiety. Therefore, having eaten a bun, our mood rises, but after a while sadness comes to replace the good mood.
- Headaches can also be due to excess carbohydrates.
- Skin problems - acne and rashes.
I myself felt all the delights of an excess of carbohydrates until I switched to nutritional control using calorie counting and BJU.
My menu is on the count of KBZHU.
Today my breakfast is gorgeous and high in calories. Yesterday I decided to pamper my own dessert ala Napoleon. In honor of the holiday.
And I prepared myself a portion, but did not eat it, but left it for the morning. For breakfast, I can even afford 600 kcal.
The cake consists of puff pastry, custard (a recipe I shared with you not so long ago), as well as a little raspberry jam and dove berries.
The portion turned out to be huge. And when compared with a purchased cake, then 600 kcal for such a huge portion (200 g) is quite acceptable.
The calorie content of the purchased Napoleon is about 600 kcal per 100g, and in mine it turned out 2 times less. And if you also replace the custard with yogurt with sweetener and vanilla, you will have a more pleasant calorie content.
And then I have a question for you - do you need a recipe?
After such a high-calorie breakfast, I had a very light snack for myself - only for 65 kcal.
I quickly cut a salad - 100 g of cucumber, 70 g of radish and 50 g of natural yogurt. And also some green onions
For lunch I have cooked cabbage soup with Chinese cabbage, white beans and meatballs.
I ate a plate of cabbage soup (450 g) with the addition of a spoon (30 g) of natural yogurt.
In addition, at lunch I ate 60 g of yogurt with 10 g of fiber.
Out for lunch 265 kcal.
Yesterday I cooked cutlets for a few days and a vinaigrette. In the evening, it remains only to warm the cutlets, season the vinaigrette with oil and have dinner.
But it was not there! I remembered that they had ordered pancakes for me, and then "Redhead", our fairy of cookies, shared the recipe for pancakes. Closer to dinner, the pancake oven went. By the way, I tried a bite- π. But it turned out sweet for us, next time I will add a little less sugar.
Even during lunch, I saw that there was a bowl on the balcony outside the window, into which I had separated the squirrels yesterday. I put the bowl on the balcony for a while and forgot about itπ. My squirrels are frozen there! Not surprisingly - minus 25 at night, minus 15 degrees during the day.
I took out that bowl and left the whites to thaw. The thawed whites looked like they had just broken a testicle. I salted and pepper them and put them in a bowl in the microwave for a couple of minutes. Then sprinkled with green onions and ate while baking pancakes. I did it 35 kcal and I got as much as 8 g of protein - and I saw on the counter that I had a problem with protein today.
What I want to say - after freezing and defrosting, the egg white did not lose anything both in appearance and in tasteful consistency (this is to our recent conversation in the comments about which is better: frozen eggs or soupππ, remember?)
My dinner is 220 g of vinaigrette, seasoned with 3 g of fragrant sunflower oil and minced turkey breast / lean pork cutlet (120 g).
It turned out to be a dinner for 400 kcal.
And remember about a small piece of pancake - the calorie content of which I did not count.
The outcome of the day upset me. Because of the puff pastry that was present for breakfast, we got too much fat. But not enough proteins came out. Plus I ate a little pancake to try it. In my 1500 kcal, I met 100%, but today the BJU is terrible. But such a disgusting BJU does not happen often. Basically, the balance of the BJU is violated on holidays, loading days, when I allow myself more than usual. On the other days I try to keep my balance.

The norm of water has been drunk today, the exercises are done - well done here.
Earlier, when I did not pay attention to BZHU at all, as well as to the calorie content of products, one or another problem often emerged. For example, the skin suffered. She was either dry or oily, often problematic (with rashes). Now the skin is clean and makes me happy. In general, I want to say that my health has become much better. Naturally, the fact that the excess weight has gone has had a good effect on health, but a more or less balanced BJU gives its results, as does the drinking regimen.
