Today I want to invite you to make a chocolate cherry pie.
The pie turns out to be very tasty, juicy, has a rich chocolate taste with a pleasant, light sourness from cherries.

Let's cook
The pie cooks very quickly, so do not forget to turn on the oven right away and heat up to 180 degrees.
Sift into a bowl
- 200 grams or 10 tbsp. no topped spoons of wheat flour
- 40 grams or 4 tbsp. cocoa spoons
Add
- 200 grams or 10 tbsp. tablespoons without top sugar
- 3 grams or 1/2 tsp tablespoons of salt
- 8 grams or 1 full tsp. a spoonful of soda
Stir until smooth.
Pouring in
- 200 grams or ml of milk at room temperature
- 90 grams of vegetable oil or ½ cup 200 ml
- add 2 eggs
Mix everything well with a whisk until smooth.
- add 14 grams or 1 tbsp. spoon of 9% vinegar
Stir until smooth, the dough is ready.
- 200 grams of frozen cherries you do not need to defrost cherries in advance
- sprinkle with 10 grams or 1 dessert spoon of wheat flour
Stir so that each cherry is covered in flour.
I bake in a springform pan with a diameter of 19 cm.
I covered the bottom of the form with parchment paper, there is no need to lubricate the sides of the form with anything.
- pour 1/3 of the dough into a mold, put half of the berries on the dough
- pour the berries with dough and lay out the remaining cherries
- pour the remaining dough into the cherries
We remove the bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees, for 60-70 minutes. My cake was baked for 60 minutes.
The baking time depends on the size of the pan in which you will bake and the temperature in the oven.
We check the readiness of the cake with a wooden stick, pierce it, if the stick comes out dry, without residues of wet dough, then the cake is ready.
Let the cake cool in the form for 15 - 20 minutes. Next, carefully pass the knife along the edge of the mold and free the cake from the mold.
Transfer the pie to the wire rack with the top side down, remove the parchment paper and let the pie cool to room temperature.
Cut off the top dry crust of the cooled cake.
The cut off crust must be crushed into crumbs, we will sprinkle the side of the pie with this crumb.
Turn the cake upside down. Install the acetate film and the sliding ring.
I turn the cake over, as the underside is flat. I do this so that the soft glaze does not glaze from the surface, but remains an even layer on the cake.
Let's prepare the icing
Pour into a saucepan
- 40 grams or 4 tbsp. cocoa spoons
- 100 grams or 5 tbsp. tablespoons without top sugar
Stir until smooth.
- add 150 grams of thick natural yogurt. Optionally, yogurt can be replaced with sour cream
Stir until smooth and cook on the stove.
Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Bring to a boil and boil the mass over low heat for about half a minute.
- Remove from heat and add 60 grams of butter to the hot mass, for convenience I cut it into pieces
Stir until smooth.
We put off about 2 tbsp. spoons of glaze, with this glaze we will coat the side of the cake.
Fill the cake with the remaining icing and smooth the glaze evenly.
If there are small air bubbles on the glaze surface, you can gently pierce them with a wooden stick.
We put the pie in the refrigerator, let the glaze freeze, the glaze hardens quickly enough.
When the icing hardens, free the cake from the ring and film.
Coat the side of the pie with the set aside glaze and sprinkle with the previously prepared crumbs.
The pie is ready and ready to be served. I advise you to cook it!

40 grams (4 tbsp. spoons without tops) cocoa
100 grams (5 tbsp. tablespoons without top) sugar
150 grams of thick natural yogurt or sour cream
