Unusual, beautiful and delicious banana cake for any occasion. It perfectly combines soaked chocolate sponge cake, milk cream and aromatic bananas. You can't resist a slice of banana brownie like this.
Such a chocolate cake with bananas is not too difficult to prepare and the products are all available. And also this cake turns out to be a lot and it will be enough for a large company. It will be a wonderful sweet treat for a noisy birthday. But it is also perfect for a cozy family holiday.

Ingredients (shape 26 cm * 39 cm)
Biscuit:
- flour - 300 g
- milk - 250 ml
- eggs - 4 pcs.
- sugar - 200 g
- vegetable oil - 120 ml
- cocoa - 3 tbsp. l.
- baking powder - 2 tsp.
Custard:
- milk - 600 ml
- butter - 50 g
- sugar - 100 g
- flour - 70 g
- vanilla sugar - 10 g
Chocolate glaze:
- black chocolate - 170 g
- cream 33% - 200 ml
- butter - 30 g
- bananas - 6 pcs.
- white chocolate - 50 g
- milk - 1-2 tbsp. l.
- hazelnuts (walnuts, peanuts) - 30 g
Step by step recipe
Bake a biscuit
1. First, bake a sponge cake for the cake.
Pour 300 g of flour into a sieve and sift it into a bowl. Here, to the flour, we sift 3 tbsp. l. cocoa. Add 2 tsp. with a small slide of baking powder. We mix everything.
2. Break 4 eggs into a separate bowl. We begin to beat them and gradually add 200 g of sugar. Beat eggs with sugar for about 3 minutes until stiff foam.
3. Pour 250 ml of milk and 120 ml of odorless vegetable oil into this mass. Beat everything for a short time.
4. Pour dry flour mixture here. Mix everything until smooth.
5. Pour the finished dough into a mold, the bottom of which is covered with parchment paper. The size of my form is 26 by 39 cm. Level the dough in shape.
6. We put everything in the oven preheated to 180 degrees. We bake in the top + bottom mode for about 35 minutes.
The biscuit is baked, we check the readiness with a wooden stick, it should come out dry. Let the biscuit cool down.
Cooking the custard
7. While the biscuit is cooling, prepare the cake cream.
Pour 70 g of flour into a saucepan, 1 tbsp. starch and 100 g of sugar. We mix everything.
8. Pour 600 ml of milk here. And break 1 yolk. Mix with a whisk so that there are no lumps.
9. We put the pan on the fire. Cook the cream over medium heat, stirring constantly with a whisk. If this is not done, then the cream will burn to the bottom. When the cream thickens and begins to boil, cook for about half a minute and remove from heat.
10. Immediately, add 50 g of butter to the hot cream and pour about 1 tbsp. l. vanilla extract. It can be replaced with 10 g of vanilla sugar. Stir the cream with a whisk until smooth. The cream is ready.
We fold the cake
11. The biscuit has already cooled down, take it out of the mold and remove the parchment paper. Also, cut off the top crust from the biscuit.
12. Put the sponge cake back in the form with which it was baked and soak it with milk. I needed about 100 ml of milk.
13. Put the hot cream on the prepared biscuit. Distribute it evenly over the cake.
14. Cut the bananas in half. It is better to use longer bananas.
Put the halves of the bananas on top of the cream. In total, I needed 6 bananas for the cake.
Cooking chocolate icing
15. Break 170 g of dark chocolate into a clean dry bowl.
Pour 200 ml of cream with 33% fat into a saucepan. We put them on the stove. Bring the cream to about 50-60 degrees and remove from heat. The cream should not boil.
16. Pour the preheated cream into a bowl with prepared chocolate. Stir the chocolate with cream until smooth.
17. When almost all the chocolate has melted, add 30 g of butter to it. Mix everything until smooth.
18. Pour the whole cake on top with chocolate icing. First, apply the glaze with a spoon to the bananas. When all the bananas are covered with frosting, gently distribute the remaining frosting between the bananas.
Decorating the cake
19. Break 50 g of white chocolate into a bowl. I use caramelized white chocolate. Pour about 1-2 tbsp to the chocolate. milk or cream with a fat content of 10%.
20. We drown the chocolate in the microwave for 10 seconds. Stir after each time. The chocolate should not be very liquid. Transfer the melted chocolate to a pastry bag.
21. On top of each banana, apply white chocolate strips.
22. Chop 30 g of hazelnuts with a knife. You can use walnuts, almonds, or peanuts instead of hazelnuts.
Sprinkle chopped nuts on the cake in between the bananas.
23. Put the cake in the refrigerator to freeze. It takes one hour to harden, but you can leave it for longer.
The banana cake turned out to be both unusual and very tasty. It perfectly combines moist chocolate sponge cake with delicate custard and fresh bananas. The cake is not prepared for long and it turns out a lot of it. Such a cake is perfect for both a Holiday and a family tea party for every day.
