A very tasty and forgotten dessert from childhood. In the Soviet Union, each housewife had her own recipe for chocolate sausage.
Children especially like this dessert. And for home tea drinking, it is great. And another plus of such a confectionery sausage is that it can be stored frozen for a long time and you will always have something tasty for tea in stock.
I propose a recipe for a delicious chocolate sausage from cookies with nuts. Crispy chunks of shortbread cookies, a delicate chocolate base and lots of nuts - this is so delicious!
This confectionery sausage with nuts is prepared very simply and quickly enough. The whole process of cooking and shaping takes me only 20-25 minutes. Well, the products for this recipe are all very simple and accessible to everyone.
Try and cook such a delicious treat for your family. Your family will definitely like this chocolate sausage with nuts!
Ingredients:
- shortbread cookies - 200 g
- nuts - 300 g (can be fried)
- cocoa - 3 tbsp. l.
- sugar - 1 tbsp.
- egg - 2 pcs.
- butter - 200 g
Step by step recipe
1. For chocolate sausage, the walnuts need not be chopped too finely. They can be cut with a knife, but the option with a bag is much more convenient. We put nuts in a tight bag, close or tie it. Wrap the bag with nuts in a towel. A towel is needed so that the nuts do not damage the bag and do not crumble.
2. Roll the nuts in a towel with a rolling pin. The nuts should be crushed, but not too small. Pour them into a bowl.
3. Preparing the cream.
We heat the butter over low heat, stirring occasionally.
4. Mix sugar and cocoa in a separate bowl. Mix everything well so that there are no lumps.
5. Drive eggs into a mixture of sugar and cocoa. Mix everything well until smooth.
6. Add the well-mixed chocolate mass to the butter. Mix everything well and boil until the mixture boils. The mass must be cooked over low heat, stirring constantly, so that it does not burn. As soon as the mass has boiled, remove it from the heat.
7. While the chocolate mass cools down, grind the shortbread cookies into medium-sized pieces.
8. The chocolate mass has cooled down to about 40-45 degrees. Add it to the chopped liver. We mix everything.
9. Add the nuts to this and mix the whole mass very well.
10. We form confectionery sausages from the resulting chocolate mass.
To do this, spread cling film on the table and spread half of the cooked mass on it. We wrap the sweet mass in a film and give it the shape of a sausage, tamping it tightly.
11. In the same way, we form a sausage from the second part of the chocolate mass. We put the finished sausages in the freezer for 2-3 hours or just in the refrigerator at least overnight.
12. Cut the chilled sausage into portions and serve. The confectionery sausage is very well cut, does not crumble or fall apart.
The chocolate sausage with nuts turned out to be very tasty and beautiful. I recommend everyone to cook such a dessert and pamper yourself and your loved ones.
