Delicious breakfast of regular loaf and cottage cheese. The preparation is very simple. And the result is amazing! My kids love these croutons. You can just eat it for breakfast with tea or wrap it up with you to school. An excellent recipe that often helps out when you don't know what to cook.
HOW TO COOK:
For this recipe, I usually take a baguette. But the most ordinary loaf will do too! Or "city bun" (we sell these, it looks like a mini-loaf and tastes very much like a loaf).
Cut into slices. The slices are approximately 1 cm thick.
For the filling, it is most convenient to use sweet vanilla cheeses. But you can take regular cottage cheese, grind it in a blender and add a little sugar and a couple of tablespoons of sour cream. I put the curd on one slice of bread and cover with the second.
These are the sandwiches that turn out:
Beat eggs in a bowl. I add vanillin, a pinch of salt and milk. I stir it.
I will dip prepared sandwiches into this filling. Fully. On both sides.
And I put it in a frying pan with heated oil. I take vegetable oil. But you can take melted butter - it will be even tastier. Sprinkle sugar on top of the croutons.
When the bottom is fried, I turn it over. I spread the prepared croutons on a paper towel to remove excess oil. And that's it! Breakfast is ready!
