How I cook rice milk porridge to be soft and tender. My way

Previously, rice porridge did not work for me - all the time there was something wrong. But now I have learned how to cook it so that the porridge is soft and tender. I say right away: there are secrets in cooking, and you need to know them in order for the porridge to be tasty. So, I'm telling you how I cook.

Secret first

Rice is a cereal that does not boil well. Therefore, rice should not be immediately put into milk and porridge should not be boiled. First you need to rinse it thoroughly in cold water, then soak it for 3 hours, you can leave it overnight, and cook in the morning.

Second secret

So, drain the water from the soaked rice, fill it with new water and cook for 10-12 minutes until half cooked. The proportions I have are as follows: for 1 glass of rice - 2.5 glasses of water. Do not add salt, sugar yet.

The third secret

Cooked rice, drain the water. Now we begin to cook directly milk porridge. Pour 1 glass of water, 2 glasses of milk into a saucepan, put rice. Add salt and sugar to taste. I have 2 tablespoons of sugar, half a teaspoon of salt.

The fourth secret

Be sure to add a piece of butter to the pan - this way the taste of the porridge will be more delicate and creamy.

The fifth secret

After boiling, cook the porridge over low heat until the rice is fully cooked. It takes me 10-15 minutes. At the same time, stir the porridge constantly. Add dried fruits if desired.

Secret six

As soon as the porridge is ready, we leave it to sweat under a closed lid for another 15 minutes. You can even wrap the pan with a towel.
