Greetings!
As I promised you, my dear regular readers, I am gradually starting to talk about how we spent our vacation in Crimea and share photos, which were taken quite a lot.
To make it interesting, I decided to talk about the places we visited and show my photos promised to you.
I want to say that, unexpectedly for me, I really liked the Crimea, first of all for its diversity of nature. I definitely want to come back, because I didn't manage to see everything that was planned.
For the first time in 6 years, we finally broke into a vacation to the sea and our choice fell on a small town - Sudak.
7 kilometers from Sudak is the wonderful village of Novy Svet, which is located between two mountains - Falcon and Eagle (which, according to scientists, have a coral origin and rose from the bottom seas). It is in the village of Novy Svet that the famous Golitsin trail is located.
The path to the top of Mount Koba-Kaya was cut down by order of Lev Golitsin (who bought the lands of the New World in for the production of sparkling wines) for the arrival of Emperor Nicholas II, so that he can enjoy the wonderful species.
I will tell you about the walk along the Golitsin trail.
The weather was unpredictable and did not coincide with the forecast at all, but we decided on a trip, although the sky was all overcast.
We started our route from the entrance to the path from the Novy Svet embankment.
The beginning of the walk along the Golitsin trail turned out to be cloudy and the photos learned the appropriate ones:
Slowly, admiring the views, we reached the Golitsin grotto (also called the Chaliapin grotto). Time and the sea had built a cave with a climate ideal for storing wine. In the grotto, adits were cut through and everything was equipped for storing wines, the production of which was established by Lev Golitsin.
When we began to climb up from the Golitsin grotto, it began to clear up, the sun appeared and beautiful views opened up:
Then we went closer to the juniper grove and turned left to walk along the through grotto, which cuts through Cape Kapchik, connecting two bays: Tsarskaya (blue bay) and Razboinichya (blue bay). There was a period when the passage through the through grotto was closed due to the danger of a rockfall and an accident - tourists could only look at the entrance itself and the lattice that locked it.
And in the grotto itself, which is 77 meters long and 17 meters high, we were greeted by bats and darkness.
We returned to the village of Novy Svet through a juniper grove, after taking a lot of photos:
The walk along the Golitsin trail is definitely worth the time spent. A lot of impressions and wonderful views.
A few tips for those who hike along the Golitsyn Trail:
- necessarily comfortable footwear (climbing uphill along the trail is quite difficult for physically unprepared people - this is not walking torp, but rocky, mountainous, striving higher and higher up the mountain) and headdresses are required (scorching sun in the mountains very dangerous). And of course, don't forget the water!
