A recipe from my mom's notebook. I learned how to cook it when I was 14 years old. And it seems to me that everyone in our city was preparing it then. They came to visit with such pies (when still everyone went to visit each other even without an invitation, just to drink tea). Write in the comments, remember that time?

The pie always tastes new. And the color and aroma too. And the recipe is simpler and difficult to come up with. You just need to mix the ingredients and bake.

HOW TO COOK:

Beat eggs in a bowl. Not even, you don't need to beat - just stir. You can use a whisk or a regular fork. And I pour in a glass of kefir and a glass of any liquid jam.

It is from the jam that the taste of the pie depends. I took a strawberry today. I love such a pie with black currant or gooseberry jam. But what kind of jam do not add - it turns out delicious in any case. The only thing is that sometimes small seeds from berries get in the way (that's why I rarely use raspberry jam). You can throw a pinch of salt into the dough - the taste is even better. If the jam is not very sweet, you can add a little sugar to the dough.

I mix it all (you can again with a fork) and gradually add the sifted flour with soda.

The dough turns out like this thick:

Grease the form with butter and sprinkle with semolina. So the cake will easily come off the mold later. Yes, now they sell forms with a non-stick coating - you don't need to grease or sprinkle with semolina. But I really love the crunchy grains of semolina on the bottom of the pie, so I always do this procedure))

Today I took a large form (20x30 cm), so the cake turned out to be not too tall. You can take a round 24-26 cm in diameter - then the cake will turn out taller.

I spread the dough into a mold and distribute it. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

I put a baking sheet with dough in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes. Ready-made cakes can be greased with cream and folded like a cake.

Or you can simply chop, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with tea.

RECIPE:

• Jam (any liquid seedless jam) - 1 glass
• Kefir (or sour milk) - 1 glass
• Sugar - 0.5 cups (optional, if the jam is not very sweet)
• Flour - 2.5 cups
• Soda - 1 tsp.
• Eggs - 2 pcs.
• Salt - a pinch
