Of course, you can just make goulash and serve with potatoes. If friends come to us for dinner, I do so. But for the festive table, I cook meat a little differently. By the way, you can take the same goulash, but serve it "festively", unusual. I share my way of serving.
You can take any meat and cook it the way you like. I will tell you how we love.
Today I have beef. My meat (necessarily!), Although they constantly write to me that this should not be done. I still did not understand why it is impossible, so my meat is any and always. Do you wash?
Cut into pieces and fry in a little vegetable oil. I add spices and salt to taste. It is more convenient if the meat is not cut too coarsely.
When all the liquid has evaporated and the meat is slightly browned, I transfer it to a saucepan with a thick bottom. Add onion, tomato juice, bay leaf and salt to taste. Carcass over low heat until the meat is cooked. This usually takes 30-40 minutes.
The meat can of course be prepared in advance.
I roll out the puff pastry with a thickness of about 3 mm, cut it into squares, make cuts in the corners and form "baskets". Below I have shown how I do it. Scroll 👇
In the center, I prick the baskets with a fork. I spread it on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and put it in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Take a look in your oven, of course. The baskets should turn red like this:
I prick the finished baskets again with a fork in the middle and put the prepared filling in them.
This is how this appetizer looks in the context:
Instead of meat, by the way, you can take a liver in some delicious sauce or mushrooms fried with onions, a salad or vegetable stew is suitable. It will be no less tasty and festive!
