Step by step recipe
1. First, let's prepare the dough.
Pour warm milk into a large bowl, add 2 tbsp. l. sugar and salt. Here we crumble 20 g of alcoholic yeast. Instead of alcoholic yeast, you can take 7 g of dry yeast.
Mix everything well until all the ingredients dissolve. We put the dough for half an hour in a warm place.
2. After half an hour, the dough will be covered with bubbles. We knead the dough.
Beat 1 egg a little in a separate bowl. Add it to the dough and mix everything.
3. Add 50 g of warm melted butter to this. Mix again.
4. Add flour to the liquid mixture in several approaches. Knead the dough first with a spoon or fork, and then with your hands.
5. Knead the dough with your hands for about 10 minutes, until it becomes smooth and non-sticky to your hands. In this case, you may need a little more or less flour.
6. We form a ball from the finished dough, put it in a bowl, cover with cling film and put it in a warm place. The dough should double in volume. This takes from 30-40 minutes or more, depending on the temperature in your room.
7. While the dough is coming up, prepare the filling.
Fill a glass of well-washed rice with two glasses of water, salt and put on the fire to boil. When the water has boiled, reduce the heat to low and cook the rice until tender.
Let the cooked rice cool.
8. Finely chop one onion.
Place the onion in a hot skillet with a little vegetable oil. Fry it until golden brown.
9. Add minced meat to the fried onions. Fry the minced meat with onions for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove the minced meat from the stove and let it cool.
10. Mix the boiled cooled rice with minced meat. If necessary, add salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything well. The filling for the pies is ready.
11. Grease the baking sheet on which we will bake the pies.
12. The dough has already come. We divide it into two equal parts. Roll out each of the parts with a sausage and divide it into about 8 parts.
13. Roll each piece of dough into a circle on a table sprinkled with flour.
Put about 1 tbsp on the rolled dough. l. fillings.
14. We pinch the edges of the dough. We form a pie and put it on a baking sheet with the seam down. This is how we sculpt all the pies.
15. Beat one egg at room temperature with a fork. Lubricate all the pies on top with a beaten egg so that they have an appetizing golden brown crust.
Leave the pies on the proving table for 10-15 minutes.
16. The pies have increased in volume. We send them to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for about 25 minutes.
Transfer the baked pies to a plate.
The pies with rice and meat turned out to be very tasty, ruddy and mouth-watering. I recommend everyone to cook them.
