For this fish dish, fillet of white low-fat fish is perfect, for example, hake, pangasius, pollock, telapia.

Ingredients (shape 24x33 cm):

  • fish fillet (pangasius, hake) - 1 kg
  • onions - 4 pcs.
  • medium tomatoes - 2-3 pcs.
  • tomato juice - 200 ml
  • water - 180 ml
  • crackers - 1 glass
  • vegetable oil - 50 ml
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper - to taste

Step by step recipe

1. First, let's prepare all the ingredients.
Cut four medium onions into rings.
Cut two or three medium sized tomatoes into slices.

2. Cooking the sauce.
Pour 200 ml of tomato juice, 50 ml of vegetable oil and 180 ml of water into a container. Salt everything a little and pepper with black pepper. We mix.

3. We take a glass of bread crumbs. Squeeze 3 cloves of garlic to them through a press. We mix everything.

4. Cut 1 kg of already thawed pangasius fillet into portions. You can also use hake fillets instead of pangasius.
Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil. The size of my form is 33 by 24 cm.
Put slices of chopped fish on the bottom of the mold. Salt the fish.

5. Put onion rings on top. Pour in the prepared sauce.

6. Sprinkle everything with prepared garlic bread crumbs. We leave about a third of the breadcrumbs.
Put tomato slices on crackers.

7. Sprinkle everything again with the remaining breadcrumbs.

8. We put the form in the oven preheated to 200 degrees. We bake for about 50-60 minutes.

The fish is ready and serve hot.
The fish in Greek turned out to be very tasty and satisfying. It is not difficult to prepare and it always turns out. Delicate pieces of fish go well with tomato, and crackers add satiety to the dish. Boiled rice or potatoes are perfect for garnish with this dish.
