In winter, you want warm, hearty dishes, this is how our body works.

I suggest you try the tomato-lentil soup with minced meat, it is hearty, tasty, warming - just what you need in the cold winter time.

Cooking.

It is necessary to prepare food in advance.

Grate carrots, finely chop onion and bell pepper.

Make minced chicken breast.

We take a stewpan with high sides.

In a small amount of vegetable oil (no more than 5 g), fry the onions and carrots until half cooked.

Next, we send sweet peppers and minced chicken to a saucepan.

Salt and pepper to taste.

We mix everything well to distribute the minced meat. Fry for no more than 5 minutes.

Fill with tomato juice (or you can use tomatoes in your own juice).

Bring to a boil and add lentils.

Adjust the consistency of the soup to your liking by adding water if you don't want the soup to be too thick.

I added an additional 150 ml of water to the tomato juice. If you used tomatoes in your own juice, then you will need to add more water.

We simmer everything together for 20 minutes.

At the very end, add finely chopped garlic and your favorite herbs. Boil. Then remove from heat.

Ingredients I used:

  • minced chicken breast - 320 g,
  • onions - 70 g,
  • small carrots - 55 g,
  • sweet pepper - 100 g,
  • red lentils - 120 g,
  • tomato juice - 700 g or a jar of tomatoes in its own juice + water to the density you need,
  • a clove of garlic and herbs (I have dill and parsley),
  • vegetable oil for frying - 5 g,
  • salt, black pepper to taste.
