All my life in canned cod liver I have treated with disdain. Well, I didn't like her taste and look. And the other day my husband showed how to make awesome sandwiches from this very unsightly liver. Even I liked it, and guests are not ashamed to submit such. Do not forget that it is very important to choose high-quality cod liver, otherwise the impression will be spoiled.
Let's start with the bread, which should be a soft, fresh baguette that needs to be cut into slices about 1 centimeter thick.
Slices of bread should be greased with a thin layer of butter and sent to an oven preheated to 180 degrees for a few minutes. The bread should be lightly browned and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. In general, you do not need to make dry crackers, it is important just to achieve a good crust.
In the meantime, you can knead the liver with a fork, but not too much. You don't need to puree it, just lightly so that the pieces remain. We take tomatoes in diameter no more than the diameter of a baguette so that the sandwiches look attractive and neat.
After the baguette has cooled down a little, you can "collect" the sandwiches.
Put a little cod liver on the bread, a circle of tomato on top and, of course, dill. I also sprinkle a little freshly ground black pepper on top.
It is necessary to eat right away and is not applied with pleasure.
Immediately because the bread can get soggy due to the liver and tomatoes, so you need to cook them before serving.
