Saturday is baking time, and these Italian (rather Sicilian, really) macaroons are so easy to make that even a child can handle.
But that's not all!
It is so tasty and aromatic that all adults will come to the kitchen (even those who claim that they don't like sweets). Remember the old Internet meme - go to the evil side, we have cookies! So, for the sake of such a cookie, you can go to the evil side... And to the Black Lords.
In addition, there is no flour and fat in it (for some, this is important).
We take:
- 300 grams of almond flour
- 200 grams of powdered sugar + a few more spoons to roll over the cookies
- 2 squirrels
- A few drops of almond essence to heighten the scent
- A few drops of vanilla essence or a couple of bags of vanilla sugar
- Optional whole almonds to decorate the cookies
How we cook:
Almond flour, 200 g. powdered sugar, almond essence and vanilla sugar (or vanilla essence) and two proteins, squeeze out until smooth.
Everything!
Then we roll balls smaller than a walnut (closer to the chestnut), roll them in powdered sugar and put them on a baking sheet covered with parchment.
Press lightly (very carefully), decorate the middle with whole almonds (or not decorate, this is not necessary), send it to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
The cookie should not turn brown, it should just bake and that's it.
It's divine with a cup of aromatic coffee! The aroma and taste are very rich, pronounced, and so salivary that there are just... words, in general, no. Lovers of marzipan - they generally react to such cookies as Rocky rats (from the cartoon about rescue chipmunks, everyone probably remembers?) To cheese.
Enjoy your coffee. Or a tea party. With cookies.
