All guests, without exception, will really like these sandwiches, but men will especially appreciate it, I think you can guess why;).

So let's start with the basics, namely bread. You can use any bread, dark is best, here everyone will choose their favorite option. In order to make the sandwiches look more decorated and festive, you can cut discs from slices of bread using a culinary ring of a suitable diameter.
I always send the prepared bread to the preheated oven to dry out a little.
In the meantime, the bread is in the oven, you can prepare the rest of the ingredients, namely the onions and tomatoes. I also cut the tomatoes into slices about 3-4 millimeters thick. I use red onions, it is both softer and sweeter than onions and fits very well.
It's no secret that homemade herring is much tastier than the one we buy in the store. Therefore, it is better, of course, to use it for sandwiches, but if this is not possible, then you can take the store one. The most important condition is that it should not be too salty. The fish must be peeled and cut into pieces, this can be done in advance, and the sandwiches must be prepared before the arrival of the guests.
I grease the already cooled bread with mustard and horseradish and put onions.
Next, I spread the circles of tomatoes, and on top of the fish. Green onions will complete the whole composition, they will add additional piquancy and add color.
Serves immediately and preferably more, therefore they will disappear instantly from the table and you will have to run to make another plate.
