I love lentils, and I have confessed my love for it many times. But even with all my love for her, this dish seemed at first... strange. And then, when I tried it, it turned out to be tasty, and therefore I recommend it.
Moreover, you can eat this lentil without any pasta. Well, with them so... nothing happens.
We need:
- 200 grams of lentils
- 3 onions
- 150 grams of bacon
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 chili pepper
- 3 tbsp. tablespoons of tomato paste
- 200 ml. dry white wine
- 250 ml water or vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
- A spoonful of butter
- salt, pepper to taste and vegetable oil as needed
How we cook:
We wash the lentils, cut the onion into small cubes, and the bacon into larger cubes. Peel the garlic, chop finely, and remove the chili pepper from seeds and partitions and cut into thin rings.
In a small amount of oil, fry two-thirds of the total volume of chopped onions for a couple of minutes. Then add chopped garlic and chili rings. fry for a couple of minutes, add tomato paste. After two minutes, pour in white wine, vegetable broth or water, add lentils.
Cook until soft, but so that the sauce remains in the lentils - in consistency, it should resemble Bolognese sauce.
Then we heat a spoonful of butter, fry the rest of the onion in it and send the bacon to the onion. When the bacon and onion turn golden, we send them to the lentils, stir, salt, pepper and add balsamic vinegar.
Bon Appetit!
