I would never have believed that borscht can be... frozen! I once tried to do this and was surprised how much it makes life easier: you can cook 8-10 liters at once, freeze, and then just reheat when there is no time to cook.
I say right away: the color is preserved! He is red! The taste is preserved - borscht is like borscht, no different from ordinary heated borscht.
Here's how to freeze borsch:
Cooking borscht as usual, waiting for it to cool completely.
Now we take some kind of container, for example, containers or cans, put a strong plastic bag inside (or preferably 2-3 so that nothing leaks) and pour the borscht.
We tie the bag and put it all in the freezer. As soon as it freezes, the container can be removed, the borscht will remain in the bag. Then, at the right time, we just take it out, put it in a saucepan and heat it up on the stove.
I freeze in small portions, divide into several packages. You can also freeze it in small containers, and then take it to work - until you carry it, nothing will spill. Then you heat it up in the microwave and eat homemade borscht. Very comfortably!
Here's a way to freeze borscht. Write in the comments, how do you feel about this? Perhaps you do that too?
