✅👌Red fish is always delicious. But you will not surprise guests at the festive table with ordinary slices or good old sandwiches.

✨ But with such a crispy appetizer - it's easy!

Instead of the usual sandwiches with sprats, I will prepare such an appetizer for the New Year: delicious, beautiful and completely inexpensive

✨ The boats are made from puff pastry, and inside them we will put delicate curd cheese, which will perfectly complement the slightly salted salmon.

📕 For cooking you will need: 🥙

Yeast-free puff pastry - 1 sheet (250 g)
Cream cheese - 140 g
Fillet of red fish - 100 g
Chicken egg yolk - 1 pc.
Arugula, lettuce, or any greens - for garnish

👨🏻‍🍳 Let's start cooking... ⤵️⤵️⤵️

Roll out the puff pastry thawed at room temperature quite a bit along the length and width. Cut into 9 approximately equal rectangles.

Now we take each piece and fold it in half along its length. We pinch the edges on the sides well together and press down several times with a fork so that the "boats" do not fall apart during baking. You will get such a "pocket".

We carefully unfold the "boats".

And put them on a baking sheet covered with parchment or a silicone mat.

Beat the yolk with a fork and apply it to the dough pieces using a culinary brush. We put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. We bake for 20-25 minutes.

Let the ready-made boats cool completely. Then, using a spoon, lightly crush the middle to make a depression. We fill it with curd cheese, you can just use a spoon or take a pastry bag with some kind of attachment.

Put the filled "boats" on a plate.

And on top lay out the diced fish. And also as an option, the fish can be cut into long strips and twisted, you get a decoration like a rose.

Before serving, decorate with lettuce leaves or any other herbs. Alternatively, you can add a few grains of red or black caviar.

It is better to cook such an appetizer shortly before serving, because after storage in the refrigerator, the dough will become soaked and no longer crunchy. The dish looks very nice and turns out to be delicious.
