Recently, pearl barley has been undeservedly forgotten, but in vain, because it is incredibly useful. There are many recipes for first courses with barley, for example, the well-known pickle. And yet, chicken broth barley soup is a versatile and quick version of the soup. #dinner
Ingredients: pearl barley, chicken fillet or other parts of chicken, potatoes, carrots, onions, water, vegetable oil, salt, spices
Cooking method:
Wash the pearl barley and soak in cold water for 30 minutes.
We put a pot of water on the fire. Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces. Peel and dice the potatoes. Rub the carrots on a coarse grater. Finely chop the onion.
Put the barley and meat in the boiling broth. Cook over low heat with a constant boil for about 30 minutes.
Pour vegetable oil into a small frying pan, put onion and grated carrots. Fry lightly over medium heat for a couple of minutes, so that the vegetables reveal their aroma and the color becomes brighter.
Add potatoes to the pan, salt. After boiling, cook over low heat until the potatoes are soft.
A few minutes before the soup is ready, put the fried vegetables in a saucepan.
Delicious, appetizing chicken soup with barley is ready, pour it into plates and serve hot to the table. Bon Appetit!
