Hello reader! Everyone is familiar with such a traditional salad as herring under a fur coat. And each has its own secrets in the preparation of this salad. Today I will share mine :) thanks to which the salad turns out to be very tender and acquires a certain "zest"
Ingredients: herring fillet, potatoes, onions, beets, carrots, eggs, butter, mayonnaise
Cooking method:
All vegetables and eggs must be boiled, cooled and peeled. On the dish in which our salad will be served, grate the potatoes on a coarse grater and distribute them evenly over the plate.
Cut the herring into small cubes and place it on top of the potatoes. The onion should be diced and sent to a preheated skillet along with the butter.
So sauté the onion over low heat until it becomes soft. Cool the onion and put it on the herring.
Rub the carrots on a coarse grater and spread in an even layer on the onion. We do the same with beets.
When we have completely covered the salad with beets, anoint it well with mayonnaise.
Then we rub the eggs on a coarse grater and send them to the refrigerator to soak. Due to the fact that we sautéed the onion, it is not felt at all in the salad, and the butter gives a very interesting creamy flavor. Be sure to try this version of the traditional New Year's salad.
